The State Fair of Virginia, one of the Commonwealth's prized traditions, has officially been canceled due to the coronavirus. The fair was originally scheduled for September 24 to October 3, 2020, at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County. It will return in 2021 on the same date.

Mail carriers in D.C. and Maryland were victims in a slew of paintball attacks carried out over Memorial Day weekend. The five separate attacks on Saturday afternoon occurred within a span of three hour, and the paintball pellets resulted in minor injuries to some of the workers.
