Oktoberfest celebrations, public art festivals, lots of opportunities to taste whiskey and beer, and a bladesmith competition are on tap this weekend in Denver!

Summer is waning, and fall is in the air! It's a great time to get outside, or stay in, and experience some of the fun Denver has to offer this weekend. We've listed various events that you can attend in-person or virtually! Check 'em out.

Crush Walls 2020

You won't want to miss this amazing display of graffiti and street art on the avenues and alleyways of the RiNo Art District.

2020 Denver Parade of Homes

The Denver Gem and Mineral Show

Where: National Western Center, 4655 Humboldt St.

At the largest single mineral, fossil, gem, and jewelry show in the country, peruse a gigantic array of fine mineral specimens, fossils, dinosaurs, gems, gemstones, jewelry, beads, crystals, meteorites, and much more! Adults only on the weekend!

Colfax Avenue Independents Day

Join the Colfax Ave Business Improvement District (BID) for the first annual Independents Day, a festival that is all about celebrating the local and independent businesses that make Colfax so special.

Denver Beer Co. Bike-In Movie Night

The Princess Bride is hitting the big screen for the Denver Beer Co.'s second bike-in movie and they want you to bring a friend or a date and join in an awesome movie night under the stars.

Denver Fall Whiskey Tasting Festival

Calling all whiskey lovers and connoisseurs. The Denver Fall Whiskey Tasting Festival invites you to take your taste buds on a flavor adventure. Experience Scotch, Irish, Single Malt, and Blend to Bourbon and Rye. The event promises your taste buds will be in heaven as you sample dozens of amazing whiskey varieties.

Moctezuma Vertical Tasting

When: September 19
Where: Dos Luces Brewery, 1236 South Broadway, Denver

Enjoy a rare opportunity to try four versions of Dos Luces Brewery's Moctezuma III Imperial Pulque. These bottles have been cellared for two years, and limited pours will be available during the brewery's Fiesta de Independencia. The four beers are Moctezuma III Imperial Pulque, 2019 Vintage; Moctezuma III with Prickly Pear; Moctezuma III Imperial Pulque, 2020 Vintage; and Moctezuma III with Strawberry.

West End Tavern’s Oktoberfest at Home

Sunset Goat Yoga

Heat, Beat & Repeat Bladesmith Challenge

Where: Salvage Design Center, 1200 West Evans, Denver
Cost: $0-$100

Local bladesmiths will be making full tang knives to compete for a series of prizes. Knives will be judged by a panel of experts.
