RIOT! The Pride Opening Party | Echostage, Ivy City | Friday

Pride parades are organized all over the country to celebrate the advances made for gay rights, but there's nothing quite like celebrating right in the nation's capital! Experience the exciting procession of floats and banners from over 200 organizations, and enjoy live entertainment. Engage with history in one of D.C.'s biggest and most beloved parades. The Capital Pride Festival | National Mall | Sunday

Sad that the Pride Parade is over? Keep the celebration going with the Capital Pride Festival, located along D.C.'s historic Pennsylvania Avenue! Drink in the Capital Beverage Garden, explore community booths and vendors, and witness live entertainment in the heart of D.C. Gather with your loved ones for a Pride bash to remember! Charly Bliss | U Street Music Hall | Friday

Step Arika! 25th Anniversary Performance | Hartke Theater at Catholic University, Brookland | Times Vary

Enjoy blue crab and sample 25 different craft brews at this Friday night shin-dig in Boonsboro. Savor the sounds of live blues music from The Voodoo Blues, The Skyla Burrell Band, and The Twisted Bluez Band. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Girls, Inc. of Washington County! Also called "the jazz festival with soul," this star-studded music event will have audiences grooving out of their seats. This anticipated community event truly has it all – carnival rides, food, beer pop-ups, and a karaoke competition as just some of the fun things happening throughout the weekend. Hop Blossom Craft Beer Festival | Old Town Winchester | Saturday
