Big game = big movie trailers.

Who else just watched this year's Super Bowl just for the commercials? Although, I'm sure most of you also watched for Taylor Swift—myself included. Oh, and the game, I guess. (Can't forget about that!)

But for me, as a movie fan, the new trailers and teasers are honestly the only reason I ever watch the game, and there were so many incredible spots for upcoming 2024 movies that debuted. From Wicked to Deadpool 3 (now officially titled Deadpool & Wolverine) and so many others, we're breaking down some of the best trailers and teasers from the game! Let's dive in, shall we?

Wicked

Wicked is one of my most-anticipated movies of 2024, and when I tell you I started crying when this teaser dropped, I was in awe. Legit chills. The Broadway musical is incredible, and when the movie was first announced, I lost my sh*t. The number of times I've rewatched the trailer to pick up on little nuances, look at all the beautiful details of Emerald City and the costumes, and hear Cynthia Erivo's singing is rather ridiculous. But I do not care! I'm excited—and you should be too!

Deadpool & Wolverine

Another highly anticipated movie for me, the now-titled Deadpool & Wolverine is gonna be one of the biggest blockbuster hits of the summer! The movie is giving everyone what we've wanted since the first Deadpool movie came out in 2016: Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And not only are they bringing back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but who knows what other Marvel and Fox X-Men characters we'll see on the big screen!

A Quiet Place: Day One

If executed properly, John Krasinski's A Quiet Place: Day One could round out what is a rather impressive horror/thriller trilogy. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first two films, especially as a non-horror movie fan (I don't have the stomach for films like that). So when the new trailer for this prequel dropped, I jumped out of my seat. Starring the amazing Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), the movie will dive into what happened on that fateful day when the world was changed.

Twisters

In an upcoming sequel to the 1996 Twister, we see storm chasers battling against two storms at once. While I am excited about this new movie, it will not be the same without Bill Paxton. But, I will give this film a chance and see if it does live up to its predecessor.

Despicable Me 4

The Despicable Me saga continues with the release of Despicable Me 4, and I can't wait to see this movie!

Kung Fu Panda 4

Another installment to the popular Kung Fu Panda franchise is coming, and it puts Po, the Dragon Warrior, in a new position of leadership as he works to defeat a new enemy. While I loved the first movie, I am skeptical about this fourth film. Granted, I am not the primary audience, but it simply feels like we're hitting the same beats over and over again. So I will go into this one with an open mind!
