Betty White's beach house hits the market three months after her death.

Beloved actress Betty White's beach house in Carmel, California, has been listed for sale. The listing comes three months after her death at 99.

White built the three-story waterfront house with her husband, Allen Ludden, in 1981. However, Ludden died shortly after the home was completed.

Listed by Nicole Truszkowski and Zak Freedman of Truszkowski Freedman & Associates, Sotheby's International Realty - Carmel Brokerage, the beach house is being sold for $7,950,000.

"The home embodies the spirit of Betty and Allen. It was eloquently understated with the focus on nature and the natural beauty surrounding the home," said Truszkowski. "Spending time in Carmel was one of Betty's favorite things to do. She enjoyed many treasured moments with her family and close friends."

The beach house was designed by architect Richard Hicks and is located about 120 miles south of San Francisco.

When White and Ludden bought the then-empty, nearly-quarter-acre plot, it cost them just $170,000. The 3,600-square-foot house has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.

"Betty's home in Carmel was her special sanctuary and it was one of her favorite places to recharge and rejuvenate," adds Truszkowski.
