We had tender fried catfish, shrimp, a mixed basket of fried chicken livers and gizzards, fries, braised green beans, corn, and red beans and rice. Everything came out piping hot from the open kitchen, with a snappy crunch on the fried items. For less than $20 per person, you can order up a veritable feast with plenty of leftovers for later.
This isn't the type of place you go if you're counting calories, so you've been warned. A quick glance at the location map for Sam's shows a heavy presence in the southern states and central states and only this single location in Northern Virginia. Don't sleep on this local seafood spot!
