Colorado is an incredible place to live with so much to offer. But sometimes, it seems people don't take advantage of all the awesome opportunities the state provides. Let's make it a goal to check off some of these must-have adventures in Colorado and make the most of living in such a beautiful state. In 2025, it's time to embrace Colorado!

Tip: Always remember to prepare, research, and be smart about your adventures. Avoid diving into anything you’re not physically or mentally prepared for.

Go Skiing

Colorado is home to some of the best skiing in the country! Take advantage of all of the amazing resorts nearby and hit the slopes. If you're a beginner, check out these mountains. And if you hate it? You don't have to go again!

Tackle a 14er

Hiking a 14er is a great goal for any Coloradan. It's an incredible and rewarding experience that just might make you want to hit them all! Be sure to appropriately prepare. 14ers.com is a great resource for preparing for your hike.

Go Camping

Camping is one of my favorite summer activities! I'm pretty much sleeping in a tent every weekend from June-October. There's something so magical about waking up surrounded by mountain views or next to running water. And it's usually free!

Chase the Fall Colors

I love going leaf-peeping in the fall. Whether you want to take a camping trip in the San Juans or go on a day trip closer to home, there are lots of great options to see the beautiful fall colors.

Discover the Wonders of RMNP

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most iconic national parks, and it's not far from Denver! There's so much to see and explore in this beautiful place.

Attend A Rodeo

I recently attended a rodeo in Steamboat and it was such a fun experience! I look forward to going to more rodeos and highly recommend it to anyone who lives in Colorado.

Warm Up in Hot Springs

Colorado is home to tons of hot springs, which are a fun and beautiful way to warm up during the colder months. They're great in the summer too, but there's something special about soaking in a hot spring while surrounded by snow.

Ride the Rapids

Whitewater rafting is on my bucket list, and Colorado is a great place to do it! There are lots of companies that offer guided tours and different levels of difficulty, so don't be afraid to try it out.

Visit the Royal Gorge Bridge

The Royal Gorge Bridge in Cañon City is a must-see! It's the highest suspension bridge in North America and offers incredible views of the Arkansas River below. Plus, there are lots of fun activities to do in the area like ziplining and hiking.

Try Mountain Biking

I tried mountain biking for the first time this past fall. It was very mellow terrain, but I was still nervous. I had a great time though! Maybe it's something I'll do a couple times a year. You don't have to do anything crazy, but it's fun to dip your toe in.

Attend A Red Rocks Show

Red Rocks is an incredible concert venue! They have so many great shows and it's such a unique experience.

Celebrate 4/20

There's no better place to celebrate this stoner holiday than Colorado! Whether you're keeping it lowkey and stocking up at your favorite local dispo or attending one of the 4/20 events happening around the state, it's definitely a day to embrace in Colorado.
