The Perfect Destinations for the Fall and Winter Months!

I have such a great appreciation for all the seasons and the beautiful changes they bring. We are now in the fall season, which means lovely colors from the changing leaves. Winter will soon follow and we'll *hopefully* be seeing plenty of snow-covered mountains in Colorado. It's a little bittersweet to see summer come to a close, but I'm so excited for the seasons to come.

Today, I thought we could take a look at some awesome road trips, perfect for those with RVs, to take that will be great for the new seasons. Let's take a look!

Aspen, Colorado - Autumn

While it's also a popular ski resort, Aspen is an awesome place to visit in the fall as well! I am going to be camping in Aspen myself this fall. I went last year as well, and it was beautiful. Of course, there are plenty of Aspen trees in Aspen, which can be seen turning lovely shades of yellow, orange, gold, and red if you travel at the right time. But even if you miss the leaves, Aspen is still gorgeous. You can also find the Maroon Bells here, a staple in this mountain town. Take the opportunity to hike, mountain bike, and take in the awesome scenery found in Aspen.

Acadia National Park, Maine - Autumn

I'm dying to go to Maine one of these days, as I've heard how cool it is. Despite how much I absolutely love living in the West, the Eastern side of the states really excels at fall! Acadia is also placed off the coast, which means ocean views. Who doesn't love the beach? Visiting at this time of year also means you likely won't encounter as many crowds as during the summer months.

Crested Butte, Colorado - Winter

We gotta talk about the ski destinations! Breckenridge is cool and all, but a little overrated in my opinion. Crested Butte was the first place I ever skied in Colorado, which could explain why it's one of my favorite resorts. In my opinion, it's one of the most scenic mountains for skiing. I guess I'm biased, but it has a special place in my heart. Even if you don't ski, you're sure to love the views. At a little over 4 hours from Denver, it's the perfect destination to take your RV for a long weekend.

The Florida Keys - Winter

Not everyone enjoys the wintertime! Some people prefer to head somewhere a little bit warmer when the snow starts to fall. I had a friend in college who lived in the Keys. Every Snapchat story or Instagram post truly embodies the "I-live-where-you-vacation" spirit. Melt away that winter chill, get a little sandy, and take a dip in the water.

There's so much to see in the world, and in the states alone! Take in the seasons (or escape the cold) this year and as you head out on some road trips! What are your favorite places to visit during the fall and winter months? Let us know in the comments!
